Day 1 : YANGON

You will be met at Yangon Airport by Gulliver. Transfer to your hotel (1 hour drive). End of the day free.

Day 2 : YANGON

In the colonial district, you can stroll on foot to observe various buildings, more or less in good condition, some under renovation. The most impressive are “Yangon Region Court Building”, “Supreme Court of Burma Building”, “Port Authority Building”, and especially “The Secretariat”, in which General Aung San was assassinated on July 19, 1947.

You will discover the Bogyoke market and Chinatown.

At the end of the afternoon, when the sun begins to set, you will discover the majestic Shwedagon pagoda, symbol of Myanmar and the highest place of pilgrimage in the country. The site is permanently visited by the locals, as a family or as a couple, to pray or simply rest.

Day 3 : YANGON - BAGAN ( )

You will take an early flight and this morning discover one of the most beautiful sites in Myanmar, and certainly the best known: the plain of Bagan. There are thousands of temples, more or less large, more or less in ruins, over a large area along the Irrawaddy river. The date of construction varies between the 11th and 13th century. Some are truly majestic, such as the GuByaukGyi temple which houses many ancient paintings on its walls. The Manuha pagoda is also interesting, with its very square shapes. The Nan Paya temple is located in the same area, near the river.

In the afternoon, you will leave to discover old Bagan, part which was originally entirely fortified. There are still many remains of the ramparts. You will visit at your own pace the Bu pagoda, by the river, the ShweguGyi temple, the Maha Bodhi temple. Then you will join the That ByinNyu temple, the highest in Bagan, built in 1144. Finally you will join for the end of the afternoon the DhammayanGyi temple, the most imposing by its form, and the Shwesandaw pagoda.

Day 4 : BAGAN

You can visit Bagan freely, according to your wishes and our advice. On-site rental of tuk-tuks, electric scooters, bikes.

Day 5 : // Boat to SALAY ()

You will leave Bagan and take a small private boat to descend the Irrawaddy river in the direction of Salay (about 3 hours of navigation). Arriving at the village of Salay, you will have the end of the day free to freely explore the old monasteries of the city.

Day 6 : Road to Mt. POPA

You will leave Salay in the morning to set off for Mount Popa, an hour’s drive away. You will discover this magnificent extinct volcano which offers beautiful views of the central plain. You can climb up to Taung Kalatt temple (777 steps). Free afternoon on site.

Day 7 : Road to KALAW

You will travel to the mountains of Shan State to reach the village of Kalaw (around 5 hours drive), which was an important holiday resort during the colonial era. You can walk freely in the small village.

Day 8 : PINDAYA and train to HEHO and INLE LAKE

You will go to Pindaya to discover the cave with 8000 Buddha statues. The journey through the plantations is magnificent. Free lunch in the village. Then you will join Aung Ban to take the local train for about 3 hours. Then transfer to the village of Inle Lake at the end of the day.

Day 9 : INLE

You will leave by canoe in the morning from the pontoon of your hotel or those of the village of Nyaung Shwe to spend a day on Inle Lake. The setting is magnificent. A lake about 1,200 meters above sea level, surrounded by green hills. One ethnic group lives on the lake and its shores, the Intha ethnic group. You will therefore stroll in a pirogue in its villages on stilts, seeing the inhabitants in their daily life, and through the floating gardens (various crops of fruits and vegetables which are then sent throughout the country).

You will continue by canoe to the Pao archaeological site of India, on the shores of Inle Lake. You will then leave the canoe and continue on foot through a village and a bamboo forest. The site of India is a set of more than 1000 stupas dating from the 16th century, lost in the middle of the vegetation and which is located at the top of a hill. The site offers a magnificent view of Inle Lake.

Day 10 : INLE - YANGON ( )

You will have a free morning at Inle Lake (bikes, hot springs, local market, horse riding center, etc.).

Around 3 p.m., you will leave Inle Lake and take a flight to Yangon around 5 p.m.

Day 11 : YANGON flight to KAWTHAUNG ( )

You will take a morning flight to Kawthaung. You will be met and transferred to the town pier, to take the boat that takes you to Nyaung Oo Phee Island. Beginning of the stay with full board.

Day 12 : KAWTHAUNG - NYAUNG U PHEE Island

Le matin transfert a l’embarcadère puis environ 3h de bateau vous serrons necessaire pour rejoindre l’ile de Nyaung oo phee. ( sejour en pension complete incluant des activités /snorkling /kayaking….)

Day 15 : KAWTHAUNG - YANGON ( )

You will leave the island in the morning and take a midday flight to Yangon. You will have a vehicle available according to the time of your international flight.
