Description
The Aureum hotel is located near the airport, in a very calm environment. This hotel has a swimming pool and a great spa which provides therapeutic treatments using local techniques. The Shan Restaurant offers typical Burmese and Thai meals as well as many specialties from various areas in the country. The Pasta de Enzo serves a large variety of Italian dishes. Meals could also be taken on the "Veranda" which offers continental and Asian dishes in a very relaxing environment, with pagodas views.
The rooms are spacious and charming and have modern facilities. Great attention is devoted to decoration.
Opinion
Be careful, this hotel is built in close proximity to the infamous tower of Bagan. Much disconcerting controversy surrounds the construction of this tower. Perhaps this hotel will improve in the future but presently it is not the preference of GULLIVER. There are, however some very interesting bungalows with great views of the site.
